What is mmm.page?mmm.page describes itself as a way to create ‘dead simple, drag and drop personal websites,’ and that’s a pretty much encapsulates the whole website. Here’s how it works. You get a custom URL and you can add three pages on your site with up to 30 blocks on each page (you need to upgrade to the Pro plan for more pages and blocks). On each page, you get a blank canvas where can change the background colour and add text, GIFs, link buttons, images, shapes. You can embed Youtube, Soundcloud, Spotify, Twitch, Twitter and CodePen on to the page - and that’s all. If you’re familiar with the website creator Carrd, then think of mmm.page of the same thing but with way more flexibility and less stuctured. The drag-and-drop feature makes it super easy to use and there's pretty much no learning curve. You don’t need to know anything about website creation to use mmm. It’s as easy as making something on Canva - just with links, embed and GIFs. I think the latter is what really brings the mmm pages to life. There is a feature called 'chaos monkey' which generates a new bio page template for you, and overwrites your existing page, which is great if you don't know when to start. What is it used for?mmm is perfect for making any site where you want to introduce or share something in a bold, unique way. The endless possibilities include link-in-bio pages, portfolios, landing pages, party invitations, promotions or just artistic explorations. The sites are responsive to all screen sizes - just make sure you main elements are in the middle third of the page so they will be visible on mobile (you’ll see guide lines when moving elements. To get a better idea of what you can do with mmm, I highly recommend checking out their page showcase. As you will see, there are a range of aesthetics you can convey with your page, and they are quick to grab your attention compared to traditional sites. One thing the site prides itself on is that you can make pages in less than five minutes, and I found that to be true. Here is a simple page I made a while ago. Final thoughtsAs you might have noticed, these pages are very visual and so it’s probably not ideal to make text-heavy, blog-style website. However, some on these sites manage to convey a lot of information in a way that is not overwhelming or crowded. If you want to create a blog in fun style, flexible style like this, check out multiverse.plus.
There is a very limited font selection at the moment, but there are apparently 200 more fonts coming in the beta. It’s work checking out if you want to do something creative. That brings me to the end of this post! Leave your mmm link in the comments if you want and I’ll check it out, and feel free to let me know if you’d like to see more posts like this.
