If you're just starting out, you can buy a watercolour pallet from a two-dollar store. However, if you're serious about learning watercolour, you can get them from art or stationary stores like Officeworks. I used a calligraphy marker after the watercolour had dried.
Here's a tip: use your paintbrush to apply water to the paper before use begin. This allows for the watercolour freely on the page as you paint.

You will need:Method1. Fold the paper in half. 2. Cut slits on the folded edge of the sheet like so. The slits can be close to each other or far apart; each will have a different look at the end. You might want to cut a strip of paper to use as a handle. 3. When you open it up it should look like this. At this point you, flip the paper upside down and decorate it. 4. Apply glue on one end of paper. 5. Stick one end of the paper to the other side of the paper, creating a tube-like shape. 6. Press down the top of the lantern a bit. You can use a ribbon or strip of paper as a handle if you want to hang it up. Aaand you're done!
Decorate a tissue roll (I used printed paper) and cut slits on either side according to the width of you phone. I got this idea from this YouTube video. This craft takes only about three seconds and acctually works pretty well.
I was looking through old photos and a came across my Year 2 holiday homework: make something out of recycled materials, and I made a pen holder, using shoebox lid as a base.
