IFTTT stands for 'if this, then that': which is pretty much what it does. IFTTT is a free tool to enhance and do more with the apps and devices you use by integrating them together, using Applets. Applets are what allows you to integrate services to work with one another. For example, when you come home, then turn on your Hue lights, or pin your new Instagram posts to a Pinterest board. If you're familiar with Shortcuts for iOS, then you'll find IFTTT isn't so different. Only it allows you to connect hundreds of services, such as Twitter, Dropbox, Evernote, Nest, Fitbit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant and so much more. Applets don't have to have one trigger (e.g when I post to Twitter...) and one action (e.g. ...post Tweet to Tumblr) only, they can also run when you manually trigger them via widgets on your phone, perform more than one action after a trigger, or have more than one trigger to perform the action. There are hundreds of Applets to use, and you can even make your own Applets, no experience needed. Whether you want to up your social media game, improve your marketing or improve your efficiency, you need to try IFTTT.
